boffa Posted November 16, 2014 Report Posted November 16, 2014 The latest problem in my Galaxy's journey has started. We now have various warning messages coming up on the dashboard, but they vanish when the ignition is turned off and the car re-started. First message was engine workshop! When that went out the handbrake applied light came on. Today we have STOP check coolant level, but again, this resets when turning off and on ignition. Anybody had anything like this before? As with all problems with this car, it's likely to be the thin end of the wedge and I'd like to try and sort it before it escalates Quote
chromedome Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 The coolant warning is probably the connection to the sensor at the bottom front of the expansion tank. The connector can make a bad contact. It's awkward to get to but try and give it a wiggle and this should stop the warning. Quote
